Uni-trade Stadium could be seeing some improvements

They are looking at two different options of grass for the stadium.

One of them is a hybrid grass that is able to sustain harsh weather conditions and is a durable alternative for players on the pitch.

The other option is to install artificial grass of turf in the stadium.

If the grass is replaced with one that has better durability, the City of Laredo says that the stadium could be used for other events besides baseball.

The cost for the replacement is still being evaluated and will be presented to City Council in the next meeting.

City Council will make a decision the grass replacement in the next meeting when it comes up for discussion.
