PHS Stadium Field to get turf "makeover"

25 July 2018

With football season about a month away, Parkersburg High School Stadium Field's playing surface is about to get a makeover.

Work is to begin next week on replacement of the field's turf.

According to PHS Principal Kenny DeMoss, the work is to begin Monday, July 30, and take three weeks to complete.

That's the start date set in the agreement the project's contract firm signed with the board of education.

The BOE is scheduled to get an update on the project at its meeting, which begins a half-hour from now at Jackson Middle School.

The Big Reds' first home game is August 31st against Cabell Midland.
