New turf installed at Stocker

After stripping the field down and adding a new liner and drain system the actual turf is now installed at Stocker Satdium.
Traditional turf is an all-rubber system. However, the new turf will be a two-layer system that is both sand and rubber.
According to Marc Mancuso, sports facilities supervisor for the city of Grand Junction, this new type of turf feels more natural for athletes.
The field is set to be fully complete by August 1st.
