The gym caters to adult basketball enthusiasts by providing PickUp basketball games with referees, along with access to the fitness room. For youth basketball players, the facility offers one-on-one basketball training and youth basketball development leagues.

PickUp USA originally opened its first location in Irwindale, California, in 2012, initially focusing on enhancing the PickUp basketball experience for adults by offering referees, scorekeeping, and a unique game queue system to organize teams. Over time, the company expanded its services to include youth programming. In 2017, PickUp USA began franchising, and it has since become the largest basketball gym brand in the United States.

Lauren Sanchez, PickUp USA's Franchise Support Associate, expressed the company's excitement about the opening of the Montana City location. Tyrone Lucas, a military veteran with a background in youth personal training and sports performance training, is passionate about helping kids succeed in both life and sports. The Lucas family's involvement in PickUp USA aligns with the company's commitment to supporting the community and fostering youth development.

PickUp USA is part of the International Franchise Association's VetFran program, which offers discounts and special services to qualified military veterans. Many of the franchise outlets are owned by military veterans, emphasizing the company's dedication to assisting veterans in business ownership.
