Nebraska approves $6.25 million Memorial Stadium upgrade

19 November 2016

Memorial Stadium in Lincoln is set to undergo a little face lift.

On Friday, the Nebraska Board of Regents approved a $6.25 million renovation to upgrade and replace video screens throughout the stadium. The decision was made to “replace the aging video equipment around the stadium.”

It’s nice to see the athletic department covering all costs rather than digging into the tuition fees.

Memorial Stadium, originally built for $430,000 in 1923, was last renovated in 2006. The stadium was later expanded to a capacity of 86,047 in 2013.

Nebraska returns to action this weekend against the Maryland Terrapins.
