Hussey Seating Company Announces Largest Sales Year in Its 188-Year History

5 April 2023

Hussey Seating Company, a global leader in designing and manufacturing spectator seating solutions, closed the books on its fiscal year with the largest sales total in its 188-year history. The international business headquartered in Southern Maine set new company records both in terms of dollar value sold and total units sold during its fiscal year ending March 31, 2023.

“It’s been exciting to see the company’s momentum grow over the past several years,” exclaimed Sean O’Leary, VP of Sales and Marketing referencing that the company has achieved record sales in four of its past six years. Hussey Seating Company has been a leader in the education market for generations thanks in large part to its network of exclusive dealers which provide local sales and service to K-12 schools. But in recent years the company has also seen enormous success and rapid growth in its Major Projects division which serves the college and professional venue market.

Major Project wins over the past year include American Airlines Center, home to the NBA Dallas Mavericks and NHL Dallas Stars; Budweiser Event Center in Loveland, CO; DCU Center in Worcester, MA; House of Blue in Dallas, TX; Moda Center, home to the NBA Portland Trailblazers; and Progressive Field, home to MLB’s Cleveland Guardians among others. Many of these projects will be completed around the venue’s existing schedules without disrupting any events.

“Our advanced manufacturing facility along with the expansion of our computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) capabilities has greatly increased our capacity and quality in our telescopic line of products,” noted Gary Merrill, Hussey Seating Company’s CEO. “Our manufacturing capabilities are truly state-of-the-art.”
