Hardin-Simmons installs new lights at football stadium

16 August 2018

New lights were installed at Hardin-Simmons University's (HSU) Shelton Stadium Wednesday as part of new renovations to the athletic facilities, according to HSU.

“We are very excited about the new lights at Shelton Stadium,” Head Football Coach Jesse Burleson said. “They are a very generous addition to our current facility. The atmosphere for our home games should be second-to-none in the nation. The 2018 Cowboys can’t wait to take the field under the new lights and take this program to the next level.”

Two HSU home games have been scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on September 22 and 29 in anticipation of the new lights, according to HSU.

In addition to the lights at Shelton Stadium, new lights at the HSU Soccer Complex and a new baseball scoreboard at Hunter Field have also been added.
