Celtic set to invest £4m on Parkhead improvements including state-of-the-art light and sound show

Celtic are installing a stunning state-of-the-art light and sound show as part of a massive £4million stadium investment.

Hoops chiefs are spending £2.3m on a spectacular entertainment system similar to those used in Ajax’s Amsterdam ArenA and Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena to create a spectacular backdrop to major matches.

The multi-million upgrade will push Celtic Park even further up the ladder of Europe’s elite venues.

The club will also put down the final £1.3m outlay to complete the installation of their new Hybrid pitch.

With other works having been undertaken on lounges, external areas and stadium roofing, the champions will have completed a £4m upgrade on their base before the start of the new season.

A Celtic insider said: “The club is in great shape and only going in one direction.

“The new investment and stadium additions continues progression and will make Celtic Park the country’s best sporting venue and one of the best in Europe.

“We aim to be world class in everything we do. Our fans are everything to us and we want to continue to give them the highest quality experience we can.”

Following on from the development of the Celtic Way a couple of years ago, work on Celtic’s infrastructure carried on throughout this term.

However, the new LED lighting facility, sound system and pitch will bring the stadium to the level of the continent’s best arenas.
