1. How did the vision of manufacturing stadium seating for sports venues permeate through the culture of Daplast?

This year we introduce Insitual as a new international brand of Daplast. Our goal is to communicate our values and what we are: Specialist in seating solutions for sports facilities. That is why our claim to launch this new brand is Seating is our game.

Daplast has more than 40 years of experience, learning, sharing goals and illusions that in some way we like to compare with the illusions that in each match, the fans enjoy with our product.

We also share this illusion in every step of our work; our goal is to always find the best solutions for each project to ensure client satisfaction.   

2. What are the various stadium seating standards across? And how does Daplast cope up with that?

The first condition that all our stadium seats must have is that, it fulfills Spanish and European standards. We design our stadium seats models testing their resistance against severe public use (vandalism), and opting the best raw materials.

Furthermore, spectator’s safety and comfort levels are very important to us when we propose the best seating distribution at the sports venue bleachers.

3. What does it take to be a key player in designing and manufacturing of stadium and arena seats under escalating pressures?

In a positive way, this pressures force us to improve and become stronger. It has also marked our brand philosophy in the last 10 years, with a clear international vocation. In this scenario, the brand Insitual is born, as a way to present what we are.

There are many challenges to afford, but our principal aim is to continue developing our product range in order to cover the needs that we detect in the different markets and projects we undertake.

4. Along the lines of comfort and safety, could you throw some light on your high range AVATAR seating?-Widely popular for their automatic abatement seat.

This is our latest product, designed for first category sports venues, which has won the RED DOT DESIGN Award 2016 for the best design for stadium seats. This award, considered the most prestigious distinction for high quality design, recognized for the innovative design of tip-up Avatar seats.

This model is user-friendly and is benificial   for our clients. One of them is Avatar seating measurements that optimizes the space between rows of step with its small size when folded, 200 mm, increasing in this way the safety and comfort of spectators.

Another advantage is its motion damping mechanism, integrated at the seat, which is a perfectly secure system that avoids risks, as entrapment of fingers.

Nowadays, there are several stadiums across Europe that count with Avatar seating. The most important one is Parc des Princes Stadium, in Paris, with 89.673 units. Other sports venues are MTK Stadium, in Hungary, and Spanish stadiums as Benito Villamarín Stadium, home of Real Betis, or Balaidos Stadium, home of Real Club Celta de Vigo, both teams play at Spanish Football Premier League.

5. Where will Daplast be focusing in the next 5 years?

Our principal challenge is to become a worldwide reference in stadium seating. Daplast already works in the five continents, and we are working very hard to be in all the projects of high level sports venues.
