1. Serving as VP International Sales, you’ve obviously been dominant to some major business developments of Action Floor Systems®. In your opinion, which have been the most important advances recently?

Two areas of focus in particular have given us the most advantage. The first is our expanded product line. We have increased our product line to fully meet all the needs of the sports and health communities. The second is our newly designed website, which harnesses all the latest best practices to easily provide the right information in the shortest amount of time.

2. Your global presence rules out other competitors in the Sports Venue business. What’s next for Action Floor Systems® in terms of new launches?

3. Action Floor Systems® in cooperation with the group of companies "Symbol" took part in "Sport 13" international exhibition. Can you share your experience at the exhibition?

It was a great exhibition that was well-attended and another opportunity to show our support for our partners.

4. How do you keep up-to-date regarding all the latest best practices, technologies, and innovations, not only in relation to the fan experience, but also in terms of managing and operating sports venues?

It’s not an easy task, as the sportsindustry is huge and growing at a phenomenal rate. Having said that, we are active in many organizations that steer the safety and performance side of the industry. Beyond that, we attend exhibitions and conferences, which gives us broad exposure to all facets of the industry, not to mention all the reading. Today, there is so much out there that gives us a more complete and full understanding of the opportunities and hurdles our industry faces today.

5. Action Floor Systems® had announced two “Floor of the Year” recipients at its bi-annual dealer meeting. Can you elucidate more on these awards and anniversary jackets presentation?

This is a special meeting, indeed. We invite all our dealers to spend several days with us. Here, we share new product information, coordinate marketing efforts, and provide industry updates. It all culminates with a banquet, where we spotlight the special achievements and milestones of our dealers. Picking a winner for the “Floor of the Year” award is no easy task, as our dealer network of professionals is vast, with hundreds of our performance floors installed each year. To be fair, we hold a vote, and all attendees cast a ballot which never fails in choosing the best-looking floor. The anniversary jackets are awarded to dealers or employees with 20 years of service. This is a milestone in itself, and awarding jackets is a tasteful way to commemorate and celebrate this achievement.

6. What specific evolutions do you foresee for the sporting events and sports venues sector?

Facilities are more flexible today and hold many different types of events at greater frequencies. The trend will continue to adapt new technologies while increasing coordination and planning. Necessity is the mother of invention and, as our facilities become more and more sophisticated, we raise the bar and our goals.

7. Which hot topics/sector developments are you currently tracking for the expansion of Action Floor Systems®?

We see the healthcare industry as an excellent opportunity. Here, we can draw on our decades of experience and provide highly-engineered floors to aide in rehabilitation and wellness. Our sports floors are world-renowned for reducing injury and fatigue. Employing our technology aides in the speedy recovery of injured athletesand helps them maintain good health through exercise and aerobics.

8. As the dominant supplier of premium flooring systems, does this place extra pressure on you, to keep the venue at the top of its game?

I’m not sure I would describe it as “extra pressure” but rather “a continued drive for excellence.” Each day, our team greets the opportunity to learn and apply those results into creating better and more sophisticated systems, or being more efficient and environmentally sensitive by updating our procedures and processes. This formula has served us well so we don’t see it as extra pressure; it’s just our culture.
