Fifth-seeded James Madison will host Colgate in the second round of the 2015 NCAA FCS playoffs on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 1 p.m. inside Bridgeforth Stadium.
The Dukes (9-2) earned the No. 5 overall seed and first-round bye last weekend during the live selection show on ESPNU while the Raiders (8-4) held off Colonial Athletic Association foe New Hampshire 27-20 in the first round in Durham, N.H.
JMU is making its second-straight postseason appearance the 12th in its 44-year history. The Dukes won a share of the CAA championship after finishing the regular season with a 6-2 mark in conference play. It was JMU's fifth-ever league title and the first since 2008.
Madison leads the nation in three categories, including total offense (549.7), first downs (313) and third-down conversions (55.3%) while also ranking second in scoring offense (44.8). It also ranks fifth in completion percentage (66.6%), sixth in rushing offense (284.4) and seventh in red-zone offense (90.3%).
JMU is one of three remaining CAA schools for the round of 16 as co-champions Richmond (8-3) and William & Mary (9-3) will have a rematch in Richmond next Saturday.
