Russian national operator Rostelecom has started providing its telecommunications services for Vologda's Izumrud sport and leisure complex. It has made digital telephony, broadband and IPTV services available there. It has laid three kilometres of fibre optic line for this purpose, and four Wi-Fi hot-spots have been deployed.
