Introduction:
The University of Missouri Board of Curators has agreed to the $250 million Memorial Stadium Improvements Project, allowing for a major renovation of the stadium where Mizzou's football team plays.
Features:
The project will introduce a new multi-level north concourse and will offer a range of premium seating options, alongside modernised concessions, upgraded restrooms, and a new entry plaza for the stadium. The north concourse will span approximately 191,000 gross square feet, which includes 99,000 gross square feet of enclosed, climate-controlled space.
Additionally, the project will incorporate an upgraded videoboard and sound system in the north end zone, along with improved wayfinding and graphics throughout the stadium. As part of these enhancements, the Bunker Club in the south end zone will be transformed into a recruiting centre. Other improvements will include enhanced LED field lighting, better Wi-Fi, upgrades to concourse restrooms and concessions, a conversion of the auxiliary locker room, and various structural repairs to the stadium.
The project will also consider adding 150 family loge boxes, 250 club seats, and 28 “Tiger Den” private outdoor patio boxes for families or corporations. With DLR’s design, the stadium's capacity will rise to approximately 65,000.
