Seminole County officials, sports leaders breaks ground for the new $27 million sports complex under construction in Sanford.
Seminole County Sports Complex will offer 102 acres of premier tournament-quality fields and facilities to elevate your entire sports event experience. Conveniently located just off I-4 near the Sanford Orlando International Airport, this state-of-the-art sports mecca will host events for baseball, softball, football, soccer and lacrosse athletes of all ages and skill levels.
The project is expected to be completed by 2016.
Seminole County Commission Chairwoman Brenda Carey said the complex will draw up to 63,000 athletes and spectators, and can generate more than $10 million in economic impact each year. HKS Architects Inc. is the project architect, Wharton-Smith Inc. is the general contractor and CPH Engineers is the civil engineer.
