Introduction:

Rose-Hulman is planning a $5 million expansion to its Sports and Recreation Center to provide additional facilities need for athletic and student recreation services.

Features:

The new addition at the east end of the building, which will overlook Cook Stadium, will feature two floors comprising seven offices, a locker room, an expanded storage area, and a specialized recruiting room for intercollegiate athletics.

A spacious room will be available for hosting large group meetings or student recreational and fitness activities. The Sports and Recreation Center originally served 312 student-athletes across 18 varsity sports in 1997.

Today, 27 years later, Rose-Hulman boasts 20 sports programs with over 600 student-athletes, supported by an expanded team of head and assistant coaches, as well as additional staff. These enhancements will further strengthen our commitment to enriching the experiences of our exceptional students.

The new large flexible room within the expansion will offer greater versatility for scheduling fitness classes, including the campus's popular yoga, spin, and Pilates sessions, making them more accessible to accommodate students' busy schedules.

Construction is expected to  be completed by 2025.
