Introduction:
A first look at the $121 million MAPS 4 multipurpose stadium, planned to anchor a future sports and entertainment district just south of Bricktown.
Features:
The stadium will be built on a nine-acre site donated to the city by Echo Investment Capital. Its design reflects Oklahoma’s natural landscape while presenting a modern vision for OKC. The north side opens towards the downtown skyline, with a lightweight canopy roof and a fabric façade framing the open sky. Programmable LED lighting will enhance the façade, creating an engaging atmosphere for fans and the local community.
Designed by Populous, the multipurpose stadium will feature a USSF-approved field and seating for more than 10,000 spectators for soccer, with most seats covered by the canopy. The venue will include a club area, supporters’ section, locker rooms and suites.
While soccer will be the main focus, the stadium will also host football, youth sports, concerts and community events.
The project is expected to act as a community hub and economic driver for downtown Oklahoma City for decades. Construction is set to begin this spring, with the stadium scheduled to open in January 2028.
