Football for Friendship draws lots for this year's Football for Friendship eWorld-Championship teams

The 32 international teams for this year's “Football for Friendship eWorld-Championship”, hosted by Gazprom's Football for Friendship children's social program, have been announced. 211 Young Players countries will compete for the title of eF4F champion from May 27 to 29.

The draw took place on April 25, International Football and Friendship Day, in an online ceremony. The young ambassadors of the project, Ananya Kamboj from India, Yusuf Moazzam from Pakistan , Sheqayli Ascencion from Aruba and Alinur Gabidenuiy from Kazakhstan drew lots for the 32 international teams. In total, eight groups were formed. Each group is made up of four teams named after rare species. The draw can be followed on YouTube:

EF4F 2021 will be played on the “Football for Friendship World” (F4F World) multiplayer simulator, which has been specially developed for F4F and is available for free on MS Windows, Apple. macOS, Android and iOS.  Each team is made up of six players. A match lasts 2 x 3.5 minutes. Until May 1, football academies around the world can offer girls and boys aged 12 to 14 as players.

The eF4F 2021 preliminary round matches will take place on May 27-28. The final will be played on May 29. F4F national ambassadors will meet at the National Ambassadors Forum in Istanbul on May 29, which coincides with the UEFA Champions League final. They will discuss the development of children's football.
