The home of the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) football and women's soccer teams will be getting a facelift over the next two months, with crews starting this week on a turf replacement project.

Crews were busy Wednesday afternoon ripping up the old playing surface, which was installed in 2004 and had reached the end of its "useful life." The new turf is expected to be installed by early June.
