Tulsa leaders broke ground for the Titan Sports and Performance Center planned for 81st and Elwood.
The project is expected to bring at least 50 jobs to Tulsa.
The 60-acre Titan Sports Center will hold indoor and outdoor soccer fields, two outdoor lacrosse fields, eight indoor basketball courts and 16 indoor volleyball courts.
The complex will also host state and regional tournaments for soccer, basketball and volleyball year-round, bringing about $6-million to the Tulsa metro.
Leaders say investing in this project will bring a much greater return in the future.
"We're trying to drive traffic from Dallas and Kansas City. Those are usually the hubs where teams go to play tournaments but we wanted to capture that money here in Tulsa," said Titan Sports general manager Stan Liedel.
Titan Sports will also offer a training center as well as a sports medicine and rehab hub.
Liedel hopes to open Titan Sports in summer of next year.
