GFF to begin rehabilitation of football grounds soon

28 June 2018

As part of their efforts to improve and develop football infrastructure in the country, the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) will kick-off a rehabilitation project of football grounds soon after receiving financial backing from the World’s football governing body FIFA.

This comes after the GFF held a tripartite introductory meeting with ground owners, contractors and the GFF Project Committee at a round table meeting held at the Football House in Kanifing on Monday 25 June.

The rehabilitation work includes perimeter fencing, dressing rooms, grass pitch and boreholes. The beneficiaries are Banjul, Bakau, Brikama, Manjai, Serrekunda East and West.

Three potential contractors won an open bid under due processes and laid down conditions for the successful implementation of the project.

City Properties, Ngary Njie Construction and Peace Enterprise are the contractors for the six grounds.
