Gators install very cool lighting to iconic signage inside The Swamp

13 September 2017

While the Northern Colorado game was originally supposed to be the home opener for Florida, Hurricane Irma changed those plans. Now, SEC East rival Tennessee will christen The Swamp in 2017.

On Tuesday evening, Florida’s official Twitter account unveiled an excellent lighting effect to one of the signature parts of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium that every UF fan recognizes.

One can only assume that the similar message on the opposite wall that reads “This is Gator Country” also lights up the same way.

This isn’t the only notable addition the school has made to The Swamp recently. The Gators added an electronic ribbon board around the stadium. Here are the images tweeted out by the school.

Overall, the Gators have gone 11-1 during McElwain’s first two seasons at home, the only loss coming to Florida State in 2015.
