Franklin Regional school board members have approved $1.19 million in spending to replace the track, turf and goal posts at Panther Stadium in Murrysville.

Board members voted 9-0 to award a contract for turf replacement and track resurfacing ($815,000), goal post replacement ($20,000) and “D” zone replacement ($355,000).

The district’s capital improvement plan includes $1.2 million in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years budgeted for the project.

The turf was last replaced in 2009.
