Amalie Arena ranks among Top 5 venues in the world

Amalie Arena in Tampa was recently ranked second in the United States (fourth in the world) by Venues Today magazine.

The rankings are based on worldwide ticket sales for concerts, events and family shows in venues seating 15,001 or more from Dec. 16, 2014 – Jan.

"We were excited to host such a strong run of events in December 2014 and January 2015, welcoming many notable acts including: Brantley Gilbert, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Usher, The Black Keys, Fleetwood Mac, Jingle Ball, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and Winter Jam," said Elmer Straub, vice president of event booking for Amalie Arena.

Amalie Arena recently hosted a sold-out Maroon 5 concert on Wednesday, Feb. 25 and is welcoming other notable artists this spring/summer including the world famous Harlem Globetrotters on March 4; Eric Church on March 28; the NCAA's Women's Final Four April 5-7; The Who including special guests, 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Joan Jett & The Blackhearts on April 15; Travis Pastrana's Nitro Circus Live on May 5; actor and comedian Kevin Hart on May 8 (two shows); the legendary Bette Midler on May 11; Disney on Ice presents Frozen May 14-17; Rush on May 24 and more!
