Meis Architects – an American sports specialist – has been contracted to work on the new Everton stadium

A source close to the stadium project has told the AJ that the firm – based in New York and Los Angeles – is working with the Premier League club on plans to move its home away from Goodison Park.

Earlier this month, The Business Journals reported that Xan Young, a principal at the practice, is working on the project.

The website said that Young is also designing a new stadium for AS Roma.

Founded in 2007, Meis Architects is currently working on a number of stadiums including, Los Angeles’ 75,000-seater NFL stadium at Grand Crossing and the Las Vegas MLS stadium.
