University of Iowa Trying to Launch Major Renovation of Kinnick Stadium

30 July 2015

The University of Iowa wants to launch another major renovation of Kinnick Stadium.

The school wishes to spend as much as $45 million to help bring the stadium up to par with new, modern facilities. The renovation would include adding plazas and completely re-inventing the north end zone stands.

A $90 million renovation of the Hawkeyes’ stadium was recently completed in 2006. The new upgrades would be paid for by the athletics department, as well as donations.

Money from taxpayers would not be used in the possible renovation.
