Singapore Southeast Asian Games Organising Committee inks S$1.5 million deal with JK Technology as official partner

The Singapore Southeast Asian Games Organising Committee (SINGSOC) have welcomed homegrown firm JK Technology Pte Ltd as the Official IT Equipment Partner for the 2015 South-east Asian (SEA) Games.

JK Technology Pte Ltd will provide hardware backbone of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure for the Games which includes 1,450 laptops with accessories, 450 printers and 100 scanners. This sponsorship deal that is valued at S$1.5 million will also be doing IT installations and configuration services across 31 competition venues.

“We are very pleased to have our SMEs on board the 28th SEA Games,” said Mr Toh Boon Yi, SINGSOC’s chief of community and corporate outreach.

“It is Singapore’s turn to host and we are delighted that our home-grown companies are stepping up and going the extra mile to contribute to the success of the games. JK Technology is one of our key service product suppliers and with their support, I am confident that the Games will be delivered in a seamless and secure manner.”

Executive Director of JK Technology, Mr Eugene Ang added: “The sponsorship for the Games will be the largest one that we have ever committed…It is a dream come true and it represents a major milestone for an SME like us.”

To be held from June 5 to 16, the 2015 SEA Games is expected to feature more than 7,000 athletes and officials from 11 South-east Asian countries. The Games will also have 402 events across 36 sports.
