Regina City to open Mosaic stadium to the public on Saturday

3 September 2015

People curious about the progress of Regina's new football stadium can take a peek inside the construction site on Saturday.

The city and PCL Construction have made arrangements to allow people to view into the site.

Regina mayor Michael Fougere said there has been a lot of interest in seeing what's going on inside the busy site.

"[There have been] calls to me, people driving around, a lot of people are interested. 'Where are things are at? Can I get a look at this one?' Because it's being built, it's harder to see inside. They haven't seen the bowl since the beginning," he said.

People who want to have a peek inside can meet in front of the stadium along Elphinstone Street from noon until 3:00 p.m. CST.

73 per cent: The amount of pre-cast, concrete seating planks completed on the stadium's east side.
1 month: Until installation begins for metal rails on the pre-cast seating planks.
55: Steel trusses for stadium's roof are being installed.
655,000: Hours worked by construction crews on site, so far.
430: Approximate number of construction members working on the stadium now.
