Commissioners Approve Plan For Paul Eames Sports Complex

27 July 2016

Leaders discussed improving the Paul Eames Sports Complex at Tuesday's commission meeting.

Commissioners approved a plan to use revenue from the current sales tax and the proposed SPLOST extension to completely overhaul and expand the facility.

There's no exact cost estimate, but the plan is to improve current baseball fields and build new multi-purpose fields that could host soccer and football games.

City leaders said that the project will attract numerous tournaments, boosting tourism and helping the economy.
